Learn About LEAD

What is LEAD?

At its heart LEAD is a progressive, political-action coalition that gets students involved in their government, ASUCD and on campus. LEAD empowers students to become involved in ASUCD jobs, commissions, committees and the many amazing student groups. Finally LEAD is any student who wants to create positive change on campus and in our world.

History

Leadership, Empowerment, Activism, and Determination (LEAD) was founded in the Winter 2000 [WWW]ASUCD election. LEAD's stated goal is to improve the campus environment for all students and to advocate on behalf of students in city and state politics. LEAD seeks to promote diversity in all its forms; culturally, religiously, sexually, politically, and economically. We believe that by bringing a diversity of opinions together we can best serve the student populace while creating the positive, progressive change we wish to see.

LEAD Executives

LEAD Presidents and Vice Presidents have stood as leaders for student rights, progressive values, and fiscal responsibility since Matt Huerta swept into office as ASUCD President in Winter of 2000.
